Such Love…

As some of you know, I’ve been known to pull some pretty boneheaded stunts on the river while fly fishing guiding, the most egregious of which occurred this fall when, with clients tucked away in my boat, I pulled away from the boat launch, only to gaze upon my boat trailer still submerged and truck engine clattering away in hopeful expectation that its owner would have the good sense to park it.

Apparently, because of this regrettable incident and others best left unmentioned, Don and Bill felt that in my dotage, a Capt. Tom Kuieck’s Daily Guide Log would be in order.  So, here it is, replete with a full page shot of my most noteworthy catch—a spectacular, once-in-a-lifetime DOGFISH! Of course, the Daily Guide Log pages are brilliantly conceived and artfully expressed with most helpful checklist items such as:
* Park Truck (before leaving launch)
* Obtain Proper Head Count of Clients ensuring safe passage back to     starting point
* Refrain from Photoshopping that 2 lb. Steelie in the 16 lb one boated by Capt. Don Graham.

So, there you have it; my guide buds sharing the love—all in hopes that I don’t embarrass myself on the river any more than I already have!
