9/17/08 Manistee River

Today I had the pleasure of enjoying a fine early fall day with Ken Riley from Lake Ann Camp and David Murdock & Scott Morter from Cornerstone University. The day was perfect, good company, perfect weather, and low fishing pressure. It seemed that the fish enjoyed it as well as they were “feeling their oats”. Needless to say despite double digit hook-ups we were unable to complete the deal on Salmon. Scott Morter, however, came through for us in the fourth quarter with the beautiful brown pictured above.

Rather than rehash the current fishing conditions I will allow you to read my partner Tom’s report. It is shaping up to be a fine season, finally, we are looking forward to the days ahead.
