Finally got caught up with Bob & Brian for their rescheduled steelhead trip. The water is very fishable but is still higher than we have been accustomed to in previous years. The fly of choice today was the steelhead bugger. All of our steelhead along with Bob’s brown prefered that offering above all others. It was nice to be able to be out in shirt sleeves with no thought of carrying a rain jacket. The steelhead numbers are thinning in some areas, but the trout action is picking up noticeably which keeps things interesting throughout the day.
Thanks guys for being patient with nature and I’m glad we could get you into some fish.
