Today, I had Dave Gibbs of Action Fabricators and his guest Dave in my boat. This was Dave’s first experience with fly fishing and fishing for steelhead. He caught on quickly and boated both walleye and steelhead. When we pulled lines, we realized we had experienced a great day with some 13 steelhead hooked and 7 brought to hand. Our best flies today were the flashback stone, the Sparrow, and a chartuese and oregon cheese nuclear egg.
