Wow!  Beautiful day on the water, but challenging fishing with the river rising from 3500 cfs to 5500 through the day.  Dr. Bill Baer and his dad Bill and uncle Bob, both from Pennsylvania, joined me on the Muskegon.  The steelhead and even the walleyes were tough to come by, but Bill took this 7 lb. male on a stone fly.  A couple of walleyes and a round lipped “trout” filled out the day. Fortunately, the company was good, the weather superb, and the promise for more steelhead coming up the river, real.
