Congratulations to Dewie and Dave for successfully bidding on the Riverquest Charters float trip that we donated to Schrems West Michigan Trout Unlimited for their 2009 fund-raising banquet. Held last night at Watermark Country Club in Cascade, the banquet was very well attended, with it noted that our TU Chapter is one of the few in the country continuing to grow. Membership now stands at 860. Glen Blackwood of Great Lakes Fly Fishing Company detailed an exciting new Schrems West Michigan project that will be one of 15 national TU funded projects, in our case, a comprehensive study and enhancement of the Rogue River ecosystem. If you are not a member of TU, consider becoming one so you can join with others across America seeking to improve cold water fisheries for generations to come.
