Sorry for the long delay between posts! The great woods of Michigan for a bow hunter or any hunter for that matter are a great place to reflect and spend time. I certainly enjoyed pursuing my “me” thing which is hunting.
Jon Rudolph and Wayne Blessing joined yesterday on the Muskegon for a day of swinging flies. It was good to be back on the water chasing chrome. The cards were seriously stack against us as another large front was moving through bring wind and snow. We managed 2 good hits and learned some new skills that should hopefully benefit Jon and Wayne in future trips on the river. Despite great numbers of fish present in the system no solid players came to net. The weather this weekend looks good for chrome so hopefully we can post some new pictures with this weekends guests. The outlook on December steelhead fishing is very good with good numbers of fish in the system and decent water flows. Ol’ man winter is knocking early this year so the first part of December should be the most tolerable in the weather dept. We have a good selection of dates and guides available through Christmas for your chrome Christmas presents! Pictured is Wayne getting lost in the snow!
I would also like to thank all of you who have been thinking and praying for my family regarding Lisas surgery. It is very humbling to know how many people are willing to take a part of their busy schedules and devote it to thinking about someone else. Lisas surgery was a total success as of now and she is recovering at home.
Thanks!
