The steelhead fishing is definitely in a time of transition. The salmon run is winding down and the steelhead are starting to spread out a bit more throughout they system. Good opportunities are still available for fishing with egg patterns but we are starting to get more pulls on swung flies and bugger or leach patterns. John scored the nice steelie above while Joe brought the nice brown pictured below to hand.
The traffic has picked up quite a bit over the last few days, so, if you are out please remember that most people are out chasing chrome so allowing you fellow fisherman more room & being extremely cautious when navigating around them so as not to motor over these very finicky fish would be greatly appreciated.
