Today was a short day since Robert needed to catch an early flight back to California. In the short time he had on the river, though, he boated the largest King of the two day eight man outing. The 18 lb. male took an Antron Hex, and with Robert negotiating lumber and an errant cast from a bank fisherman over Robert’s line, he prevailed. Congrats, Robert!

Fishing was more difficult today, but both Robert and John hooked and landed salmon. The river continues to drop, and water temps are not coming down. More fishermen using “alternative methods” have spooked fish in areas accessable to bank fishermen. Look for out-of-the-way spots with dark water and cover for best chances of having fish take flies.
