Don Vroon along with his guests Drew and Mike joined me for a comfortable day on the Manistee. Fishing was much of the same as we journeyed back to the upper stretches near Tippy Dam. There are a few more fish in upper river and a couple old fish starting to look at the gravel; don’t think for a minute that this means the gravel is polished all over–there are a couple. Pictured is Drew with a morning fish that was in the dark water; notice the dropping eggs; the fish are ready but the waters still pretty warm and things are late. Keep the cool nights coming!
