The cold Canadian air continues to grip the UP of Michigan; day time highs seemed to never leave the forties today judging by the fact that I could still see my breath at 2pm! None the less the Larsen family joined Capt. Dave and I for their first Great Lakes Atlantic salmon experience. Nymph fishing provided all of the action today with diligent casting paying off with consistency. While everyone had opportunities to land their first Atlantic both Rusty’s and Barbra’s fish fell short of the net; surely had either of them capitalized their fish would have taken top honors today. Now almost 6pm in the evening and the long hoped for sunshine seems to be making an appearance….maybe there is hope in the weather department?? Pictured top is Brent and Barbra with a beautiful Great Lakes Atlantic salmon.
