It sure was a cooker on the river yesterday! Even with day-time temperatures nearing 90 degrees the Muskegon River continued to exceed expectations and produce some fabulous river trout. Nymphing and streamers are both productive on day trips. Evening hatches have been productive if you can be in the “right spot, at the right time”. After yesterdays trip with Sherry and KT, I went back out to hopefully catch a drake spinner fall, but my plans were cut short by the storms that rolled through. Cool-seasonable weather is with us for the next two days and options will be numerous–gotta love the Mo’!
