It was a beautiful day to be on the river today. The traffic was very light, the water was the perfect level and color and we had high cloud cover for most of the day. Todd & Jeff from Belden Brick brought Bob & Dan out to fish with Steve and I today. After watching a few out of the ordinary areas over the weekend that had received little pressure we decided to give them a try today. Boy did it pay off. I will just say that it was a record day for both boats. The fish were on the feed after dodging all the pressure from the weekend and pretty much anything large and dark could entice a bite. A few of the hens and smaller males were the only ones to take an egg pattern (at least in my boat). If you really want to know how many fish were actually landed, the next time you are at Belden Brick looking for materials or one of their Solaire Grills, look up Todd or Jeff and ask them to tell you about their day.
