Sorry for the later than normal post but Max and I have been running hard this month so far with salmon trips. It’s long days and short nights right now for us.
The salmon are in the Muskegon River and in really good numbers. This year is shaping up to be another good run. We are hooking into some steelhead but we’re definitely having to work for them. Fishing the pocket water behind spawning salmon has yielded both steelhead and some nice brown trout.
Egg patterns and stone flies have been the producing the best trout action. Bob, from Indiana lands a nice 23 inch brown trout.
