Father/Son Fly FishingFloat—Great Times!

I love family fly fishing float trips, and today, Dick and son Doug and, of course, the salmon they hooked and landed made for a terrific time for us all. Father and son created some memories sure to be long remembered today, and I was privileged to be a part of them. In short, just a special time with these two fine men on one of Michigan’s great rivers.

The Muskegon River Chinook salmon run continues to build which enabled Dick and Doug to be into kings all day long. Although we continue mystified by the prolonged higher the normal temperatures and subsequent relatively high water temperatures, apparently for the salmon, “love” conquers all, since they have now begun their annual spawning activities.

So, congratulations, Dick and Doug! Thanks for enabling me to be part of this special day on the river with you both.
