Long-time guest and friend Bill Sidor and his college buddy Dave Hartley joined me for their annual fall steelhead trip today on the Muskegon River. The “swing” lately has been very challenging for my boat. Short grabs and inconsistent fly patterns have provided more gray hair. I’ve seen this play out in other seasons and staying the course seems to win out in the end. Thankfully Bill was rewarded with this terrific hen steelhead today on a sculpin pattern and faith was restored to a degree 😉
