Bass’in

Summer time temps are coming in hot and the smallmouth bite will only get better.  The MO has been both lower and colder than normal and we’ve had to change tactics to bring fish to net.

Co-owner and guide Max Werkman lands a pre-spawn smallmouth stripping streamers in new locals

With river temps in the upper 50’s both dredging crayfish patterns and stripping streamers are working.  Fishing the sun angles and later starts are the name of the game right now.

On the trout front, drakes will soon start to pop, depending on temperature and cloud cover.  The sucker spawn will soon start and this will be best time to land the larger trout of the year.

Summer offers plenty of opportunity for the fly angler.  We have plenty of open dates for smallmouth and trout so drop us a line and book your trip today.
