Grandpa Gary, aka the Reverend Bishop Hansen, treated two of his grandsons, Will and Nate, for a day of fly fishing for Chinook salmon with me on the Muskegon River today. And what a total blast it was! The boys learned to cast as quickly as anyone in my boat, and Grandpa wasn’t far behind. Moreover, they followed my fish fighting directions to a “T.” Here’s Nate working what proved to be one nasty looking beast:
But happy he was. And why not? His first fly fishing salmon.
Privileged I was, indeed, to host such fine young guys and their super Grandpa. Thanks much guys! I loved every minute of our day together.
