Had the pleasure of fishing with Doug Allinger and Dave Schilling, both up from Ohio, for the past few days. I can’t even begin to speculate on the river condition or the fish’s mood. All I am going to say is fishing is TOUGH!!! Both guys worked hard for their well deserved fish. Monday saw only a nice walleye landed. Today we took a different approach and it paid off with each bringing a steelhead to hand along with a nice rainbow. There are fish in the system, but be willing to be both patient, persistent and thorough in your fishing. Egg paterns and steelhead buggers have been producing fish.
