Muskegon River Trout Update June 16 Edition

Trout fishing on the Muskegon continues to be productive. Dry fly fishing in the evenings targeting the peak Isonychia emergence is best. Gray Drakes are spotty at this point, but sulphers, cahils, and bwo’s are filling in the gaps between. Daytime fishing opportunities are numerous too. Swinging Iso nymphs in the shallows is very hard to beat. Soft hackles are also producing many trout, but shopping for big fish is tough as the stockers are very keyed in.

Water temperatures are in the lower 60’s despite the warm weather–get out to the river and enjoy our wonderful river!
