Fathers and Sons

Captain Don Graham and I had the distinct pleasure of guiding the Kirkpatrick group dads and sons for the last two days. By all reports and our own experiences, the guys had a great time at our Muskegon River Lodge and on the river with us.  Here, Miles poses a very solid hen steelhead taken with Don guiding, along with Dirk and Scott, who is Miles’ dad. (Yesterday’s post featured Logan with his steelhead.). Dirk’s bruiser buck Chinook was an aggressive, angry beast that gave Dirk an arm ache, and Scott’s more modestly sized male gave him all he could handle. All the guys were into fish with a variety brought to hand on a day that with its 70’s. temps, was very unlike October 22 in Michigan.  In short, a terrific fall day with four wonderful guys and fish that cooperated all day long.
