Gene Dewitt and daughter Julie Roby joined me today for a peaceful day on the Muskegon. Fishing is slowly improving on the MO’ with a trickle of new fish each day. The “big” push can only be anticipated on the arrival of the next shot of water. Fishing pressure is extremely low and if it were high- sharing of fish would be an issue! Small caddis and antron stones seem to be the overall top producers this entire fall. Fishing deep water is finally producing as more fish stack up below the gravel. Most of the salmon have waited long enough and start digging as soon as they reach the gravel. Steelhead numbers are low but fish-able.
