Uncle and nephew pair in my boat today; Pat brought his nephew Mark for a day of steelhead fly fishing. Mark had his chance—actually two of them on the same drift. Chrome on; chrome off.  Strip in—wham! Another one.  He’s on—he’s off! Mark continued undaunted, hooking and landing salmon.  Pat, for his part, was the ever patient uncle, pleased that Mark’s fly fishing education continued, including some time tossing indicators on fat lines with the switch rod.  Pictured is Pat with a steelhead that snapped up his clown egg fly.

Thanks, Pat and Mark.  You braved the rain, snow flakes, and sleet, only to be blessed with sunshine for lunch.  See you in the spring!
