This was the scene on one stretch of the river. It was a beautiful day, but there were many boats to maneuver around. The best fishing is in the morning. Once the sun comes over the tree tops, the fish seem to vanish into the deeper waters. Your best bet is to fish the deep runs and dark water. We managed to hook eight steelhead, but never landed one. Close, but no cigar. There were some fresh hens landed today.
