“The Family That Fly Fishes Together Stays Together!”

Well, maybe a tad overstated but not by much! The Willett family is operationalizing the maxim to the max with family fly fishing trips literally all over the world: Montana, Chile, and Michigan—more specifically, with RiverQuest and the Muskegon River Lodge. I had the privilege of hosting Mom Jennifer and son Holden, and Captain Don Graham guided Dad Darrell and physician colleague, Lloyd, in his boat. After a bluebird, Chamber of Commerce ad, sunshine laden day when the steelhead were less than happy, today was gangbusters great—hookups and landed steelhead all day long. Best of all, whether the fishing was challenging or terrific as it was today, everyone was a delight to have in our boats. What a great family! Must be the fly fishing! The Willetts are long time customers, and Don and I simply had a blast sharing the Muskegon River and its steelhead fishery with them once again. Here are some of the steelhead the group brought to hand today.
