Whenever i am privileged to host my former colleague and friend, Tom TenBrink, Jenison Public Schools Superintendent, for a day of fly fishing, it’s a special day. Tom is an extraordinary leader who, with some terrific teachers and principals, have built an amazing school system. Spring Break is here, so even the Super gets a chance to play when school is out! And play we did with lots of war stories and laughs along with tight lines and bent fly rods. The steelhead run is building nicely, and Tom closed the deal on Muskegon River steelhead that obviously have been eating well. Look for more fish as the river warms and the days grow longer.
