Ol-man who?

Our guides were frozen, our faces raw, toes a tad bit chilly–you’d think we’d waive the flag of surrender? Nope, not Don and Wayne! With temperature crashing into the low 20’s by midday and snow squalls that erased the river banks and beyond, the guys hardly even missed a beat as the tirelessly swung drift after drift. I was certainly glad I had dressed for the occassion. Not having met the guys prior to this morning, I’d have certainly bet the odds that the calling of the mancave, hot tub, or sauna back at the lodge would have taken these two off the river early. Nope, not these two–Ol man Winter who?

Tomorrow calls for more of the same–I’ll bet heavily they’ll see it till the last drift. Pictured is Don with his first steelhead on the swing.
