Tranquil weather has not been the theme lately, at least for any length of time. Yesterday was truly a rare day with decent temperatures and calm winds. Together this made for a pretty enjoyable day on the river.
The river dropped pretty significantly yesterday. The day started out with the river running around 3700cfs and by early afternoon the flow had dropped to 2650cfs. Early in the day the fish were grabby and we were rewarded with two very nice post-spawn brown trout. While this wasn’t exactly the steelhead we’d hoped for, they were both very beautiful and rewarding fish on the swing for Jeff.
