Neighbors Six

RiverQuest guides Don Graham, Jay Allen, and I had the pleasure of hosting the Murphy group—guys, who, I’m told, all live in the same Chicago neighborhood! Today, though, they found themselves in ours, and the steelhead rolled out a great welcome. After sampling Chef Jenn’s culinary creations last evening, this morning, and having tried even more for dinner this evening at our Muskegon River Lodge, the guys are taking in all we and the river have to offer.  Judging from their smiles and comments at days end, they’re liking it all. We guides truly enjoyed sharing the Muskegon steelhead fishery with them and look forward to another memorable day on the river with them tomorrow.

We continue to bring to hand a mixture of winter and spring steelhead.  The spring run is building nicely, and fishing conditions are excellent.  All in all, we had a wonderful day. Mont, Jim, and Mike pose a sample of some of the fish that found their way to our nets and then back into the Muskegon to run the river and perhaps fight again.
