Max Werkman:
Max lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan and specializes in the coldwater species of Michigan; salmon, trout and steelhead. He grew up in West Michigan and has basically been fishing since he could walk.
During the summer months he guides in Alaska for Naknek River Camp.

He uses multiple techniques including spey, fly fishing and spin gear to catch Michigan’s migratory fish. When he can’t fish, he is either thinking about fishing or tying flies.

In 2016, they started Werkman Outfitters, an Orvis Endorsed Outfitter on the Grand River, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Over the years, we have guided hundreds of clients from the around the area and the Mid-West
Spring Steelhead Season:
Spring Steelhead season is fast approaching and we have open dates. With the warm weather we’ve been having, it looks like prime-time could start mid-March through late April.  So give us a call at the same number or email you’ve always used, (616) 293-0501 or fishon@riverquestcharters.com to get on our calendar.

Remember to follow us on Instagram or Facebook to stay in touch for all the latest on RiverQuest. We’ll be offering spring, summer and a fall smallmouth trips, destination travel to Belize for bonefish, tarpon and permit plus Virginia musky.

With all this said, both Max and I hope to meet you and develop the same relationship over the years that you had with Steve.
