I can’t exactly explain the fishing over the last three days. It’s been a tough swing, plain and simple. The fish have been willing, but shy. Very short grabs/quick grabs have been the theme swinging flies. The river is very clear and almost down to the sweet spot on the flow chart. Grinding thoroughly through the runs has been key. Changing fly patterns has also proved important as angling pressure has been high and the steelhead are wary.
Pictured is Michael with a great buck steelhead on the swing from this afternoon under the direction of RQ guide Ryan Randolph. Congratulations Micheal, great steelhead!
