Love the family float trips! Jonathon and Grandfather Dan, first-time salmon fly fishermen both, joined me on the Muskegon River for some Michigan Chinook salmon fly fishing. With one of the best salmon runs we’ve seen on the MO in years and boasting sizes unprecedented in recent history, the guys had little problem hooking up and landing some outsized salmon. Based on Jonathon’s smiles and advice freely given to his grandfather, I’d say we won a convert to fly fishing today.
