This splash of morning sunlight was all Mother Nature saw fit to send us today. Apparently, she thought snow, unrelenting high winds, and frigid temps would be her gift, such as it was, to us today. As Steve wrote in his post, “Brrr!” The first push of steelhead is ebbing with more and more drop-back hens in evidence so Joe and his Father-in-Law toughed it out as we searched and searched some more for some steelhead that wanted to play. RiverQuest guide Dave DeVries came to the rescue with his suggestion of a run we would do well to fish, which we did with chrome soon in hand. Thanks you, Dave! Finally, finally, both of the guys found themselves into steelhead with Joe, on his last cast of the day, bringing this hen to hand.
