Given the prodigious scope of the Chinook salmon run on the Muskegon River and the extraordinary size of the four year fish, it’s almost enough for the believers among us to break out in that beloved standard. Then, too, when one hosts a dear, dear friend and former professional colleague whose world and theological points view align with one’s own, it’s a special day. Tom and I connected as only two buds and soul mates can in what proved to be an arm-straining endurance contest for Tom on salmon after salmon. Not sure who benefited the most, Tom or me, but today was an energizing blast. Thanks a ton, Tom!
