Great day fly fishing the Muskegon River today with two of my dearest colleagues and friends from my teacher/administrator days with the Jenison Public Schools! Dave Dresslar, the retired superintendent, and Tom TenBrink, the current superintendent, annually fly fish with me in the spring for steelhead and in the fall for Chinook salmon. Given how absolutely perfect the weather, fishing, conversation, and laughs, of course, were today, however, it looks as if an annual summer smallmouth bass trip will be added to our schedules! It was just a terrific time with two fantastic guys! Dave poses one of his smallmouth bass, and the expressions on the faces of Tom and me tell it all about our friendship and what a great time it truly proved to be.
