Joining me today were Mike, Pete Vredeveld’s business partner, and his friend, Craig. We passed on the shallow water bedded fish to concentrate on the deeper runs and redds. Hookups were frequent but our landing percentage was less than we had hoped for on the bright fish. We had a great time nonetheless. Fish on gravel are showing their age, but we have enough new fish to make for a a day with some sizzling runs and leaps. No steelhead for us today, but a fly fisher in a boat near us boated and one in the 7-8 lb. class. So, there’s something for everyone. Mike and Craig also used Spey rods for their first time today, and both really like the method. Pictured are the guys with a couple of the fish boated today.
