The question of the day, “Will the river be running too high and dirty [for good fly fishing]?” I assured Pat that yesterday the river was up but clear. So, much to my chagrin, there the MO was this morning—Nestle’s Quik! No matter, Pat and Terry lit it up big time with the fish eager to snap up stones, caddis, Antron Hexs, and the ocassional nuke egg. Pat’s literal “last cast” yielded the 10 lb. hen he is holding and releasing at day’s end. In short, a most memorable day on the water. Thanks, guys, for keeping me so busy! Hope to get you both back in the boat soon.
