Two architects, Craig and Darrel, joined me for what proved to be an excellent day of fly fishing for steelhead. Although we didn’t land all we hooked, the guys put enough in the boat to make it a memorable day. Neither had fly fished for steelhead before so all were delighted that they caught on so quickly to what needed to be done. Our best flies were stone flies, caddis, and the mini-olive egg sucking leech, which Craig’s 10 lb. hen took a fancy to. The river continues to run clear with stone flies hatching heavily. Thanks, guys, for a fun day. Hope the future finds you in my boat again!
