In my 26 years of guiding the Muskegon River I have never seen the river this low–it’s honestly shocking to see it like this. I honestly didn’t know if I’d get my sled back to port today. Joining me today was longtime guest and friend Jeff Boyd. Jeff and his business partner Dan were my very first guests 26 years ago and I’ve had the privilege to fish with them a couple times a year for all 26. While we reminisced about days past, I’m sure we will always talk about the year with no water in the future! Pictured is Jeff with a nice steelhead from this morning.
