Day Off Deer

Fishing on the Muskegon River continues to impress as fishing is day-to-day good. Water temperature are holding steady and actually warm for this time of year. Nymphs, minnow, and egg patterns are producing drifted Great Lakes style C&D, while 12ft of T-14 off a Skagit head is getting done for you “swingers”. Leech patterns with green, copper, and purple flash have brought the most interest.

A few cancellations and scheduled promotional activities combined with my “me” sport have kept me from the river the past few days but I will be back out chasing the seasons first potential snow flakes later this week. For those of you hitting the roads over the next few day please travel safely and enjoy the time with your families and have a great Thanksgiving holiday! Pictured below is nice southern Michigan buck that fell to my TC Pro Hunter 50cal muzzelloader Saturday afternoon.
