With the 09′ salmon season behind me today was the first full day of chasing chrome. Joining me today was Don Vroon and Jon Sommerdyke; Jon was celebrating his birthday today and whay more could you ask for than some premium October fall chrome! Weather and river conditions were ideal for steelhead with a heavy overcast and slight stain to the water. Water temperatures are in the low fifties making the the steelhead fight like no other time of the year- bottom line, October steelhead are as good as they get!Both Don and Jon can attest too the fact that holding on to these fish is a challenge.
