Following in his grandfathers footsteps

Dr. Scott Smith and his grandson Kyle joined me today for wonderful day of fly fishing on the Muskegon. Kyle was the star today on the river landing his personal best Chinook on a fly rod. Kyle’s fish not only is his personal best but weighed out at 22lbs even and qualifies him by length (42″) for a Michigan Master Angler Award in the “catch and release” category! With a full 30 minute battle with this great fish it was easy to understand why he carried a smile all day! Pictured below is a beautiful fall colored river brown caught by Ray with the McKay group yesterday.
