Doesn’t get any better than this: guides’ day on the MO with fellow RiverQuest guide and best bud, Don Graham, and steelhead on the swing. The bite on C & D was slow with only a nice teens brown trout taking a liking to our offerings. A couple of hours of swinging with the Spey rod, though, produced a pull and one crushing strike from this buck brought to hand. Fall steelhead are flat-out extraordinary gamefish. On the swing, they’re a mega adrenaline rush, and now is prime time.
