Pete and Jeff from Oliver Vandyke and Sharon and Randy of NSI joined Tom and myself for a summer like day of salmon fishing on the Manistee. My boat-Jeff and Sharon, had no trouble with hook-ups but certainly lacked in the landing department; must have been bad  karma from Wisconsin? Salmon that are currently in the upper sections of the Manistee are very interested in the gravel. Sunrise sends most of the spawning fish back to the dark water as spawning conditions are yet to be perfect. Pictured above is Jeff with a couple from today. Pete and Randy are pictured below; Randy was also fortunate to take a very nice steelhead today.

Tight lines,

Capts. Steven and Tom Kuieck
