Pat and Kevin joined me today on the Manistee with a quest for chrome salmon in the lower river. With a big rain last night and dark skies fore-casted today I was equally excited. However, our hopes of an easy day would be dashed by the mood of the salmon. Anglers in the lower river fishing bait were having no issue finding salmon, while the casting angler searching for the ultra aggressive strike have had to make this a fish of a thousand casts. Water levels have risen and the fish are moving throughout the system….here’s to easier fishing! Pictured is Pat with a well earned salmon.
