It is not too often that I can get a couple of the RQ guys together for a day of fun fishing on the river. Summer vacations and day-to-day river obligations seem to make days like today pretty tough to come by. Don and Jay joined me today for a much needed day on the water, enjoying some fishing of our own. As it usually happens, play dates always seem to be heavy on “work” and “light” on easy fishing for some reason. Keeping this in mind, I always go into days like today concentrating on the camaraderie, as it is the first-and-foremost reason we enjoy fishing together. But, every once in awhile we have a special day like today, where we not only enjoy the company but also the fishing memories that were made. These days are memorable and a great asset of reflection during our busy season. If you are looking to get out on the river for some smallmouth bass fishing, NOW is the time! Fishing is pretty sweet right now!
