Jim Boyer joined me today on behalf of the Lakeview Public Schools-pretty nice retirement gift! This was a first time serious fly fishing trip for Jim and to say he took to the sport would be an understatement! We fished C&D until lunch and quickly switched him over to a floating line and indicator setup for the afternoon. Small natural nymph patterns fished in less observed waters was key to success today. The weather was cool and sunny but the steelies were not abit shy. Water levels are perfect and clarity is slightly tea colored…I wish it would be this way all year! Pictured is Jim with only a sampling of what is sure to ruin his steelhead fishing career forever.
