A cold sunburn special today! Dave and I enjoyed the company of John, Mark, Don, and Mike today. Steelhead fishing lived up to its reputation as a challenging sport. Dave’s boat and mine could not have had more opposite success today; Dave’s guys were into the fish this morning with egg patterns and my crew couldn’t buy a fish until after lunch with small natural nymph patterns. Keying on areas that you know hold fish and then working every seam with patience proved to be the “moral of the story” today. The river level is on the slump- we need rain- I hope I don’t hate that expression by the end of 2008? Pictured are todays well earned fish!
Tight lines,
Steve
