The Muskegon River continues to flow well above normal, but seems to have reached its peak–I hope! Spring steelhead are definitely taking advantage of the big flow as they head towards their upstream destinations. Big egg patterns and buggers are getting noticed in the soft-water, but patience is the biggest factor. As the flow begins to relax and head back towards normal, look for steelhead fishing to become pretty special. Pictured is a nice spring male from today.
