February is finally here and with it brings hope of a not too distant spring. Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon is fair to good to very good depending on the day. The river is very cold currently 0.5 degrees C or 33 degrees fahrenheit. Stone flies are becoming increasingly active on the egdes of the river. We will soon be back to our daily fishing reports as the weather permits.

The Buckeye United Fly Fishers 2009 fly fishing show is this weekend in Cincinatti, Ohio. Dave, Don, Fred and myself will be manning our booth and ready to share a story. Stop by and say hello…
